Default 88 GT crashed and won't start

Hey, I'm Nick. I'm new to this forum. I have a question though...

My cousin recently bought a 88 GT, and he wrecked it the next day. It's a shame. Basically it was wet outside and he kicked the back out and it spun around and he hit 2 trees. We got the car back at his house and now it won't start. My question is do the mustangs have some kind of sensor that shuts the fuel pump down, or could some fuse be blown? We tested the battery and it's good, and we tested the plugs, that's good too. Any suggestions?

The damage is the the front left fender. It is crushed in about 5 inches infront of the tire, and also to the rear left quarter panel. The Hatch is knocked out of alignment and both the left rear window and hatch window is shattered.

Thanks

There is a rubber plug on the inside of the hatch area just behind the driver side tail light... pull it off and push the fuel pump reset switch. As for the wreck, sound like it was too much car for the guy who bought it. Rain + 5.0 mustang + inexperienced driver = CRASH!!!

Yeah, that got it fired up. Thanks for the help.

He was definitely inexperienced. His last car was an auto fwd g6. So it was a world of change to a high hp, 5 speed, rwd, gt.

Tell him thanks for making our cars worth a little bit more.

Haha will do. Now tomorrow consists of trying to knock out the damage to get the car to be drivable again, then deciding weather it is best to have him buy a 4 cylinder mustang, or one without a motor/trans and swap his motor and trans in.
