ok so now i've changed the cap, rotor, spark plugs, cleaned the air filter, and checked the wires and no change at all. its hesitating really bad now to where it feels like its bouncing and its only getting worse. what else can i check? thanks

clean MAF with the proper MAF cleaner, check tps setting is between .6v to 1.01v, koeo. if those dont work...pull codes.

how can i tell if it needs to be cleaned because i looked at it the other day and it looked pretty clean? and how do you check the tps setting?

might be module on side of the distributor. mine went out, n right b4 it did, my ar was jerkn like the tranny was goin out or sumtn.all it was was a 15 dollar part.

does it do it at crusing speeds or at wot cause before i had a problem like that but in cruising speeds it would hesitate real bad like if my car was bouncing back and forth and ever since i replace my maf that hesitation went away

It does it at cruising, accelerating, wot everything. It use to be a slight hesitation but now its really bad

you should take out that maf and try and clean it with some maf cleaner even though it looks clean wipe the little resistors with a Q tip and heres info on how to check tps
if that doesnt work pull codes using a paper clip and reading how many times it flashes

Clean MAF and take the car to Autozone or any auto parts store and have them run the codes for free.

Check TFI module on side of dizzy as mentioned above. Also check the pick-up coil in the dizzy.

Ok so I got a mechanic to check it and he pulled the codes and th only one that came up was for the fan control. He cleaned the maf with brake cleaner and now accelerates like before but it still hesitates. He said it was because of the egr valve and that I need a new one. Oh and he also said that it was running rich.
