The foamy coolant usually means foreign matter has incorporated it'sself into your coolant system, somehow. What color is the coolant now? Did the car get hot after warming up for 10 minutes?

Did you reuse your old coolant? I did when I blew my HG a while back and it too was a brownish color. Personally, I would just give it a nice coolant flush and replace it with new coolant.

JUST FLUSH IT, when doing head gaskets, you have to remember some coolant stays in the block so some old mixes with new and gives you what you got
