deff not a novice project. i certainly had lots of fun my first gear install and im pretty mechanically inclined.(rebuilt couple motors, 4 tranmissions, and i do other things other than on cars) gears can be pretty tricky.

okay...so i found a shop that will do it for about 550. now i just wanted to know how much of an increase in power i am going to feel...is it going to be more low end torque or high end hp? and how much of a difference in gas mileage should i see? maybe get like an average of 15 mpg in the summer?

mpg change is negligable unless you do a ton of highway driving. i forgot, what size gears you doing? there is no power change, but it will feel like a completely different car. you'll feel way more down low off the launch, it'll feel like the torque between a civic to a stock v8 mustang. trust me, it'll put a huge grin on your face from ear to ear. lol!

okay....so should i go with the 4.10's since i am getting my gears done....or is that more for track cars and not street? and will that be too much for my car to handle and make me buy more to support the 4.10's?

if it's a 5 spd 3.73's are an all around good gear, 4.10's are good to, I installed a set for a friend recently and rpm diff is not that much, personally for what I use my ride for 4.10's are going in soon
