yet another MAF question

Going MAF in an 88gt and was wondering something. Can I use any ford maf harness from similar years or does it absolutely have to be for a mustang?

I was thinking about possibly getting one out of a truck at a salvage. Anyone?

the salt and pepper connectors are the wrong pin count between a mustang,and a truck
