If you didn't break the cam in you may be starting to wipe the lobes off the cam.

Several problems here as stated:

Stock heads
Didn't change the springs
Willing to bet you didn't change the push rods or rollers
Didn't get it tuned (although not mandatory)
Wrong cam for the car

IMO it is the wrong cam based on the rest of your mods (or lack of). What I would do personally is to put the stocker back in and run a set of Crane valve springs. This will allow you to rev the engine higher and let it pull all the way to 6000 rpm. With the stock cam and springs you hit valve float right around 5000 rpm and make less power. The stock valve springs are junk on these engines, they really are not even enough for the stock cam. FWIW I have put combos together that have run in the 12's on a stock cam with GT40 heads and intake.

That camshaft (if it's a Hydraulic Flat tappet) is getting wiped........ and the sedimentation coming out of it will eventually cause the oil pump to seize, if you're lucky enough not that have it cause more damage to the engine...... ask me how I know.
