Default Stuttering, and sometimes death

Issue:
When I start the car and shift into reverse my rpms go from about 750 to about 50-200 or something like that.
When resuming from a stop my car will kinda hesitate and be kinda fine with very little sputtering.
And today my car died twice, once waiting for someone to backup and then when I just stopped at a stop sign.

Past Changes:
I changed my single exhaust to dual.

In the process I had to change the external fuel pump because it and the fuel filter were in the way of the passenger side muffler. For that I bought a fuel pump for in my tank that was EFI pressure. I then replaced the fuel filter with a smaller filter (about half the side around but same length and kept it above the muffler).

I also had tried seeing what to do with the tv cable at the transmission because it was in the way...or i thought it was. So it may be out of adjustment.

Thanks

anyone?

Forgot the mention I also changed the shifter cable adjustment trying to get it to shift into first and now I have to use the e-brake because it doesn't engage parking 100%. And my passenger header gasket isn't on yet.

readjust the shift linkage, as for drivibility issue check fuel pressure and make sure there is no leak down and being cfi/efi you can do a koer test and check for codes that may lead you to the issue...also when did prob start?? after exhaust mods?? if you have a header leak at flange, you need to fix that, that'll skew o2 reading and cause closed loop drivibility issues, also cfi has what is known as a throttle kicker selonoid to bump up idle when load is placed on motor such as a/c, p/s ect ect

I think I found the Problem. PSI for EFI : 30-45. PSI for CFI 14.5. Probably Drowning the engine. Is a replacement CFI fuel pressure regulator to replace the stock one in order. Or a after market one?

no cfi should carry normal pressure at least 30 psi, when my pump was going bad it would hesitate at wot like no other and only registered 20 psi, installed new pump 34 psi returned and boom all the power back
