Since I have owned both a 5.0 and a LS1 and both have had work from mild to well modded, I am going to comment.
First playing the "cost of the car" game is BS and not releivant.
My 2002 LS1 went 12.5 @111 with a 17 inch drag radial, a air lid (same thing as a cold air), cat back and lower control arms. Sorry but for those mods that car moved out. After I swapped in an auto with a big stall, cam, lightly ported heads and drag wheels, the car went 11.5 @ 116. Now I have not had a chance to take the Stang to the track, but it needs a blower to run those times (which I haveon the car) or it would need a 347 stroker.
Hairy ***** is nothing more than a troll. I am sure Adder has smacked around many modded LS1's. Having an 11 second now days is no big deal, there are tons of them out of make and model. I fail to see why people get so hooked on one brand over the other. It is nothing more than trying to equate your own self worth via what car you happen to own. As a final comment. Yes I loved my LS1, it was super easy and pretty cheap to make fast (i had about $5000 in mods), but I also like my Stang, it is a more fun car to drive on the street than my Camaro was due to the suspension I have, and it will still beat 99% of the cars I run into while out cruising.

You are a troll if you think for a minute that a LS1 cannot be beat by a Mustang. If you come from camaroforums do a search for my SN over there, I am an admin. I know my SS was fast for what was done to it, but so is my Mustang. Adder has a 347 stroker in his car and you are a fool if you think for a second that he cannot beat modded LS1's.

The thing I find funny is that it is mainly the slow guys that are nut swingers of a brand. Build something yourself that goes better than 11.9 and then make comments. Hang with real racers and see if they don't respect other brands for what they and get back to me.

Fast is fast. End of discussion.
Fords, Chevys, Dodges all have their good points and bad points. I cant understand being die heart fan for one manufacturer and hating another. We are all talking about relitively the same **** in the end. Personally I sway towards MoPar, but I am just a fan of cars. (not ****** daily driver turd everyone has one and thinks its hot **** 'cars'. Im talking real ****)

Thats for damn sure. Being a full time student doesnt allow me the ability to afford to treat any MoPar the way I would want. Rather than having something that teases me in the driveway or me being cheep with one and feeling disgraced in doing so I bought this damned mustang. A cheep toy for now. ugh.
