Default Stock Ported Heads and Intake questions

Are Ported stock Heads And intake Bad for making power?
And are they that much better than stock?
and are there any losses or down sides when having them?

Like GT2000 said, anything is better than stock.. If someone is giving them to you, or doing it for free. Go for it, but its not worth the money to pay a machine shop.

^^ oh ok well e7 heads suck *****, if you get the porting free or for very little money go ahead...other than that your better of going for some gt40 or gt40p heads if the money allows it

It is not worth spending the time and money to port stock heads and then have a valve job done (which would be needed after porting). I say this and yet I have ported stock E7 heads on my car, however I was given them for free and I run a blower. Blowers have a way of making up for crappy heads lol. If you are going to bother messing around with stock Ford heads, at least put GT40's on there, but even then I would not put much money onto those. By the time you port GT40's and have the valves done, springs etc. you might as well have bought some used Trick Flows or AFR's.
