Default mac lt's 1 3/4

a friend is selling me some macs lt's 1 3/4 would i have clearance issues installing these

only if the run to the back of the rear bumper. My friends did that and the mufflers had to be welded out past the rear bumper and when we put the tips on we had to paint them orange cause they stuck out 6 feet past the bumper.

^WTF are you talking about noob?

What mods do you have? The would be nice for future mods but for a normal bolt on car they are a little big for you. There was a long thread on an exhaust system being to big and I hope this doesn't bring that discussion back up.

You would most likely have to jack up the engine to get them in. Maybe around the bell housing and steering shaft you might have issues. What did you buddy have them on?

1-3/4" headers will be complete overkill unless you are running a 331 or bigger, or a s/c

i just tried to put my brand new mac 1 3/4 headers on my 331 today and my tubular a arms are in the way they might work on stock suspension though

Agreed, stick with 1 5/8. Even WITH a s/c or a stroker kit, unless making real big power (which you wont on a stock block), You wont see much gains with a 1 3/4, if any at all.

Your doing something seriously wrong if your control arms are interfering with your headers... are you sure you even bought the right ones

my friend had them on a 347 but he is going turbo and his turbo kit comes with some other ones he wants 100 for them but i was just wondering if i where to get them would i have problem with like them hitting the starter or steering rack

the front driveshaft may interfer, when i put some my honda i had to relocate it
