Iv heard of this happening alot but what does it mean? My shifter has been harder to move latley and now ill sometime grind into third. my throwout bearing has been bad for awhile too. Is she on the way out or how much longer might i have? thanks guys.

Sounds like either A) the clutch isn't releasing all of the way or B) the synchronizer rings are shot. Prolly, B.

you might as well throw a new clutch in there with a TOB and as for the tranny it will need a rebuild kit with blocker rings and possibly a 3rd gear, upon disassembly the shyncronizer teeth on the 3rd gear hub should be inspected
