Default will it really matter???

is it really going to matter if i keep the speed density instead of converting to maf if i plan on using a wet kit??? i dont see why it would sense the wet kit already adds the fuel, and it would more than likely be a plate kit, so it would be waaaaaay after the sd sensor. thanks

the SD sensor?? lol...you mean the MAP sensor which works in conjunction with tps, ect and act for fuel mapping.....the map sensor is on the firewall or shock tower in some cases, either way all it has is a vaccum line going to it from intake that senses vaccum changes based on throttle position and thus knows what load demand is on vehicle.

Shouldn't be a problem at all... I plan on putting a wet kit on my SD car in the near future also, so I've been researching it for some time now and haven't been able to find any reason it would mess things up.

so since it wont matter using a wet kit with sd (thats what i got out of this) what supporting mods will i need? plan on going with a 150 shot for now. injectors, fuel pump, what timing to set at, ect?? im just so used to my 03 and just let the sct computer do these things for me....

2° timing retard per 50hp, 255lph pump, and your stock injectors will be fine.

sounds like the same rule of thumb im used to. so i assume changing out the injectors would require an maf conversion??? i ask cause i wonder what the largest wet shot i could run with the stock ones????? thanks

You don't have to worry about what size injectors you have no matter how big a shot you use as long as it's a wet kit. The kit will add ALL the extra fuel needed in addition to what the stock injectors are putting out. If you go with more than a 100 shot, you need to upgrade the fuel pump to make sure you're getting enough fuel from the tank to the engine, because the stock injectors will need alot of fuel plus the wet kit will be drawing extra fuel also. If you go REAL big on the nitrous, you need to look into getting bigger fuel lines as well as a larger pump to handle the demands for fuel.

im also debating on if i should get an aftermarket intake, or if i should just use the stock intake. i just dont know how well the nitrous jet will mount to the plastic intake???
