i notice almost all weight, I was very happy when everyone said that the aluminum drive shaft's only drop 5lb, and mine dropped 9lb's.

i also droped about 40-45lb's from the transmission swap from the AOD to the T5.

I replaced my driver and passenger seat, so when the old one's sell (or i get fed up of waiting and trash them) im removing the rear seat's and all seatbelt equipment, and ill be removing all plastic's for the armrest's and back plate for the seat's ETC.

my car is 3250lb's with me out of it, most hard top's that race are 3200lb's with the driver IN the car. I need to drop weight badly to make up for this.

I hope with removing the back seat and such, that i will be down to 3200lb's

n-e-who, my point is, its a very good thing to drop weight, not only will you be FASTER, but the car will be more responsive for going around corners/race track, and the lighter the car is you will get better gas mileage.

I dont really want to put a system in my car again. I had a mediorcre system in my car, had power wires going to the battery, hiding wires under the carpet and all that... I had a box in the back with 2 10" subs . I will settle for just a factory type set up now.

But I DO notice a wieght difference sometimes too, like when I have a passanger with me, at least I think I do

I did that too and wound up gaining way more weight than the seats ever weighed... but I did it for looks not for functionality / racing.

Ah, yea that's a pain... shifts around and you can't get to your spare.

Did you take your seat belts off too, or just the seats? Actually... its a vert for you, so I don't even know how its all hooked up.

Did you just put a bracket around the base? I could never figure out a good way to bolt a box down back there. I just posted some pics of my car and my rear seat delete/ sub box if anyone is curious... those speakers are going nowhere lol
