Alright I went and did some driving tonight and I was up to about 4500rpms in 3rd and the shifter was shaking very violently. I have looked at the motor mounts they seem a bit sloppy but i don't think it is enough to cause this.
When i noticed the vibration getting really bad i shifted to 4th and it still seemed bad so i slowed it down. When i rev the car when sitting there is only a small vibration which doesn't seem serious.
Now I replaced the front u joint last fall a little while before i put her down and the rear one wasn't sloppy or frozen so i just greased it so it shouldn't be the u joints. You guys have any ideas for something i could check? Thanks

I actually found one laying around that I am going to throw on when i get the time. Is there a way to see if the tail shaft bushing is in good shape without taking things apart?

Cool Transmission Cross member install

When you install an adustable cross member the tubes need to be welded to secure tubes to the cross member..Failure to do this will result in excess movement of the transmisssion and drive shaft, thus causing the shift lever to dance around...AL
