Default Transmission crossmember question.

I bought a aftermarket cross member and poly mount and installed it and the shifter still moves side to side when i hit a bump or if i shudder from a stop. Could not welding the tubes on the cross member cause this?

best bet is to pull the e-brake and have someone load up on the motor and look for it jumping up...minimal movement is acceptable

I have seen it move more then an inch when it is having a low idle surge. I guess that's something else to add to the list.

A little shifter movement is normal... If you hit a bump and it moved I don't think that would could be blamed on a bad motor mount.
