go with a 331 kit. you wont have to notch the block.the arm ratio is better to. less stress on the cylinder walls.

you really need to read this:^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^http://sbftech.com/index.php/topic,6087.0.html

there are sbc's out here with far worse rod ratio's than a 347 and they have survived well over 100k.......what you state is myth

sbc are better than sbf anyway.but you do have to notch the block/rod bolts on a 347 and not a 331

You will be very dissapointed if you build a 347 and bolt GT40 heads on it. You would be better off building a 306 with the GT40 heads. A 347 will require a 195 head or better.

+1 if you're putting the money into a stroker kit at least put some heads on that will let it breathe.

I read somewhere that notching or not notching the the block on a 331, depends on the type of rod used. I read that if you use H beam rods, notching is required????

i think its more of a rod bolt issue. not the rod. dont get me wrong ive never dont it . but i do have a stack of magazines 6 foot tall. and i read about them alot. i was gonna build one after this 302 bit it.
