Default CAR DIED WONT START!!! HELP ASAP

I was having a spuddering issue over the past few days and now driving home the car just died, I was close enough to home to coast into my driveway. The car cranks over and but just wont start. It has no spark, what would the most common problem be. I need to get this thing running by the end of the night!!

Before you go spending money, you need to verify your problem. If at all possible run codes. You said you just installed your GT-40 intake. My bet is, you have a bad Hall Effects Sensor in the dizzy, since you took it out and messed with it a bit. You could also have a bad TFI module. You can take that off and take it to autozone where they can test it.

my car was doing the same thing right before the computer took a dump, and melted my ignition module. have you had any other problems, like maybe the fan not working right, or anything else?

Yes, the hall effects sensor would prevent the car from getting any spark. It is also known as the Profile Ignition Pick-up (PIP). SImply stated, the Hall-Effect sensor signals the Thick Film Ignition (TFI) module, which is then relayed to the ECA. This happened to a guy a while back, his car would not start. He rebuilt the dizzy/ with the new HES, and the car started right up and ran great. In order to get to it, you have to dismantle the dizzy. In many cases, it's better to just replace it(It's what I personally did). I personally believe it is either the TFI or HES. Test the TFI out first. If it fails, then that is obviously your problem.

Very good tech write up, thank you mjr...thanks alot!! I performed all the steps outlined in the no spark write up, that narrowed it down to the TFI or the stator sensor. I pulled my TFI and am taking it to autozone tommrow to have it checked.
