Default Electrical Problem Plz help

i have a 84 mustang. 5.0 w/302. pretty much all stock. i replaced the alternator because it went out then i replaced the external voltage regulator and the solenoid. my battery is not getting charged. and the car wont stay on if i disconnect the positive terminal(once the car is on).

i took it to a general mechanic and he said i need to take it to an electrician.

anyone have any ideas?

Get a multimeter and see what it is charging at. You can check at the battery. Your wiring also has fusible links in them that can go bad(like a normal fuse).

what kinda mechanic did you take it to?? a lube a dube dube place with no ability to diagnosis stuff?? anyway , you'll need a wiring diagram of the charging system and you'll need to trace the charge wire and make sure it's not cut anywhere and all the fusible links are good
