Interesting. I wonder why tremec's 6 tooth is yellow and not black.

and you dont ever upgrade to an 8 tooth, like you said.. the best gear to have in is the 6t

I already swapped the 6 for a 7 with my 3.73s, it seems to be doing alright compared to the speed traps I've been through. My tires aren't exactly stock either. Sumitomo ZR 275/40/ZR17's on 17 inch Saleens.

that tire size doesnt matter one bit... you should have kept the 6 tooth... but now you know better for future reference.

Well the outside diameter of the tires has an affect, with a larger OD you will be at a higher speed compared to what the speedo says when it thinks you have stock OD tires. But in my case it doesn't really affect me much, I could have prob been at perfect calibration with a 6tooth/21 tooth speedo driven gear and my tire size than with the 7/21 which i what I have now.

Oh well. But even if my OD is the same, OD does have an effect on MPH at a certain RPM.

it affects MPH at EVERY rpm.. but the point I am trying to make is that you have the wrong gear combo, and that the 6 is not stock.

besides... i said
