Want to bypass smog pump... any issues?

quit being a puss foot. just remove all your emissions, drop off the pump, get a shorter belt, block off the smog ports on teh back of the head, pinch off your mid pipe tube and remove all the emissions crap (solonoids, vac lines, pump, charcoal canister, remove EGR valve and block it off) i removed all mine about a year ago. no problems with belt or running.

I have to pass emissions....

if we get this house out east ill remove everything. but don't feel like the hassle till then.

if you are going to remove the belt from the pump, you should either remove the crossover pipe on the back of the heads, or block it somehow. its only 2 bolts and a hose clamp

and no it doesnt stink after you remove your charcoal canister, just move your purge line.
