Need help...Intake gasket leak?
Hey guys,
A small pool of coolant collects right were the distributor hold down bolt is and that general area is a mess. My stang will not overheat unless I hit stop and go traffic then the temp gauge goes up to about half to 3/4. Once I start going again, she drops down. My stang has cobra intake manifold with Edelbrock RPM performer heads. How can I assure myself that it is infact the intake gasket that is at fault. Common problem? Tips on doing the job? I am mechanically inclined.
Any help would be great
Justin

Its not that hard of a job to pull the intake manifold and replace the gasket
Only tip I would give it to get some studs to secure your gaskets down with when you are re-installing your lower intake
Also, use rtv sealant on the front and back, it seems to work alot better than using the gaskets they give you
