Default Horsepower Help

Hey,

I have a 1994 Gt, I had just recently bought it from someone who lost their job right after building the motor. I had the car dynoed and tuned right after I bought it, and it only made 261tq and 250hp to the wheels. I was expecting it to put down over 300hp with all the mods, heres what it has.

AFR 185cc Heads
Anderson High Rev Valve Springs
Comp Cams 1.7 Roller Rockers
Anderson N-21 Camshaft
Anderson Timing Chain
TFS 6.300 Push Rods
Holley System Max Upper Intake
Holley System Max Lower Intake
Holley One Inch Manifold Spacer
Holley 75mm Throttle Body
Fox Body Throttle Swap
Pro M 75mm Mass Air Flow
FRPP 24lb Injectors
BBK Cold Air Intake
BBK Underdrive Pulleys
Ford A9L Computer Swap
BBK Long Tube Headers
BBK Off Road X Pipe
MSD 6AL Ignition
EGR and Smog Pump Delete
Chip and Tune

All that, on the factory 302 bottom end. With all that done, I would expect a lot more then what its making. The guy that did the dynoing on it knows his stuff like no tomorrow, and has been in business for years, hes pretty much a ford "god" as far as im concerned.

The mufflers on the car are the factory mufflers from back in 1994, im not sure why he didnt use different mufflers, but their shot, and the baffles are rusted loose and you can hear them. Hes thinking that with the baffles being broken loose, could have turned and clogged the mufflers, leaving it unable to flow enough exhaust. Could this be the problem?

I was thinking about a set of 2 1/2 flowmaster super 40s. It looks like thats the best muffler they make, but please correct me if im wrong.

That said, could the shot mufflers be my problem? Let me know what you guys think, or it that all the hp and tq the car should make with that setup.

Thanks

I'm not an Anderson cam fan, but I bet with a CI CAM and proper spring set up and exhaust fixed, that it'd make more respectable numbers without having to use 1.7 rockers too.

What dyno was your car on? Mustang dynos tend to read lower than a dynojet. Still, I would have expected 285-300rwhp with much, much more torque, around 310rwtq.
