gauges
ive been wanting to add some gauges to my 91 lx 5.0 hatch and i have added the 3 gauge bezel for the radio and it has 3 2-1/16 opening's for gauges
has anyone used the digital gauges by autometer or digital gauges in general and how accurate are they?
they are kinda pricey but not to much, i was wondering what route i should go with gauges, i want to add oil pressure, water temp and not sure what else i have volts showing on my radio, i just don't feel comfortable with the factory gauges
any suggestions would be appreciated and if this post needs to be moved sorry
Thanks, smacked1

Autometer Analog gauges are the only ones that will ever find their way into any of my cars. There are other good gauges out there (SW, VDO) but I've just come to put a lot of trust in Autometer. I ran Stewart Warner years ago but Autometer was the first to come out with high quality full sweep gauges. I wouldn't even consider a digital gauge in my vehicle. I just don't like them. I can glace at an analog gauge and see it easy from the corner of my eye. The digital gauges can fool you becuse sometimes you have to look closely to see what the gauge reads.

I always like the new Ford Racing Gauges. Water temp, oil pressure, and volts are the normal gauges replaced first. What are your future plans for your car?

ok ive been looking at various autometer gauges and was checking the difference in prices, i see there are mechanical, electrical, digital, full sweep electrical and not quite sure the differences
if anyone has any reco's and could help me decide on which would be best please let me know..
right now i have a 3 empty gauges radio bezel, i wanted to add water temp, oil pressure and not sure what to do for the 3rd gauge
a few monthes or more down the road i will be looking at a vortech sc so i will be adding either the column gauge pod or the vent gauge pod right above the radio for boost gauges and so on..
