Default gt40p milling

how do i figure out how far to mill my heads i wanna get atleast 10.5:1 compression? i heard .30 is about 9.8:1 stock pistons, block, etc

Just milling your heads to get some arbitrary compression ratio is likely to give you detonation and intake manifold alignment issues. And simply adding more compression isn't going to give you more power.

Like 67mustang302 said, if you mill too much off the heads, you'll have to mill the intake or it won't seal properly (I know this from experience).

get the right cam and intake and set heads up right and you won't need compression to make tons of power

The compression ratio works with all that stuff to create actual(sometimes called dynamic) cylinder pressure. The right combination creates high pressure, and therefor high power.
