Hey everyone, I am asking a question for my father pertaining to his new QA1 double adjustable shocks. Does anyone have any suggestions for compression and rebound settings for a pinto with a stroked 302 weighing about 1100 lbs in the rear? Thanks for any thoughts as we will be out testing tomorrow.

50/50 rear, 90/10 front

you want the fronts to be hard to compress, but soft on the rebound

Sorry I should have specified this is only for the rear. And this is a drag car with slicks, he does footbrake. 50/50 is great for many street/strip cars but I am looking more specific to the weight and application. Thanks for the response, and we may be forced to start at that point anyway.

actually, until you take it to the track and futz with the setting, everything will be just speculation. every car is different. I gave you a starting point... now its up to you to go from there.
