Default bounceing front end??

Ok so I just got my 93 lx coupe back from the body shop after a old lady pulled out accross 5 lanes and the front left of my car hit the front of the right rear wheel well, anyways she drove like a absoulte dream babied for only 125000 miles when i got it. As I was driveing home I noticed the front end seemed like it was bouncing up and down ALOT. Now it was at the body shop for like 4 months mostly just sitting (I had to go out of town and couldent pick it up) so when I got home I called the shop and asked if he did any work on my shocks and told him why and he said no but said he did notice it doing to same thing on the way to the aligenment shop and said someone cut the springs to lower it. Now I know for a fact it dident do that before the accident so im pretty sure its not the springs so could the seals have gone bad from sitting there or something or could I have blown them out or something when I slammed on the brakes at 50mph? Please help me I dont want to spend the $120 for 2 new shocks if thats not what it is but its so bad it make it really really hard to drive..

Thanks for any help and sorry for such a long post.

It's probably your springs like he said. How old are the struts? Just because you didn't notice it before doesn't mean it didn't do it.

bouncy front ends are caused by bad, or poor shocks... you might have to suck this one up and just do it

O I have no problem paying for the shocks I just wanted to make sure thats what it was. Just because I can afford to get them doesent mean I like to waste money on unnessary parts ya know. And I was thinking since I gotta replace them anyways I was just going to go ahead and get a lowering kit so I was wondering which one everyone would suggest?
