Default fuel problems (i think)

Guys I am new to this(first thread) I drove my 92gt home the other night with no new problems. The next morning it wouldn't start it was turning over fine but acted like it lost fire. Then I noticed my fuel pump was not shutting off after running for a few seconds. After talking to several people I decided to replace the pressure regulator since the fuel pump was running strong.
By the way I don't know who decided to put it beind the throttle body against the intake with the screws coming in from the bottom but I hope they are not apart of a design team any longer.
Well that didn't help I still had the same problem so I then bought a fuel pump assembly. A guy talked me into it by saying I must not have enough pressure to open up the pressure switch. I put it in this morning after pumping out at least 11 Gallons of gas(any aother time it would be empty). well I still have the same problem.
I have never worked on fuel injection so I bought a hayes service manual and it had no info on my problem go figure. So please help if you can.
