Default parasitic loss help?

K i just finished relocating battery to truck and upgraded my alternator to a 3g. Vehicle is a 90 coupe 5 L stock. Do have an electric fan though.

My question is what is the accept parastic loss? I forgot to turn my ignition off once and it killed my battery thats fine but i deceided to check my parastic loss.

now i got .003 Amps, or .298 milliamps. Now i didn't know if that was acceptable or not i started pulling fuses to see. Well fuse 12 dropped it by .75 milla amps, and since well i heard alternators sometimes can drain the battery i unplugged my regulator and almost all of it went away. Went down to .001 amps. Now should i worry about this, should the alternator be drawning that? Any insight is greatly appreciated.

If you are not having problems, I wouldn't worry about it. All cars seem to have some form of constant draw on the battery (clocks, etc...) and any car will go dead when the ignition is left on. If you are having trouble keeping batteries or whatever, then maybe more diagnosing will be in order.

.....how so is 298 milliamps not a problem??? it will drain a battery is a couple of days easy!!......25-50 milliamps is safe at rest spec

I don't know the numbers of what is acceptable or not, I was just going by what he said about it has only drained once when he left the ignition on, and other than that no issues.

298 mA = .298 A....... 25-50 mA = .025 - .050 A, again.... nothing to fix, provided the .003 A reading is correct.
