check the factory ground connections and power connections. I had a charging issue a few years back that turned out to be the body shop overtightened and stripped out the ground bolt make a poor connection that corroded.
I went threw all the grounds connections, double checked them for corrotion and It all looks good.

Does it have under drive pullies on it? The issues you are describing and have done sounds like what I went throught a few years back when I used to have underdrive pullies.
