i hate to tell you this but steeda cable is the EXACT same thing as the ford racing cables. there made by the same company just stamped different.

I'm still running the same steeda cable that has been in my car for almost 4 years now.

20k miles later, it still works fine

wasnt saying it was a bad cable just saying it was the same one, its the one i currently run also.

YOU werent... but these nutcases swear that the only cable to use is a ford OEM.

Just adding some information that mine, with 20k on it... is hanging in there, with no problems

I wish I had the money to try the Ford OEM cable to see if it is in fact worth 4 times the price. Or just replace the FRP or Steeda cable when wears.

I do think my long tube headers shorten the life of the cable. You know the bracket of the driver's side frame that holds the cable in place. I installed a second one under the car. Off the crossmember to hold the cable away from my header pipe, closer to the oil pan. It also has a 8" section of heat insulation there too. This bracket/header makes for about a 10 deg angle going into the bellhousing hole. My pressure plate is 2300lbs. That probably doesn't help either.

ya i had my clutch cable go out on me a couple months back it sucks lol so i went to americanmuscle.com and bought the steeda set up with the quadrant and fire wall adjuster it works great i couldnt be happier with it
