Either I misread the title or this went from E cam to X cam. I wouldn't hit a hog in the azz with either

if you dont have the money to put quality components in your car, you shouldnt be wasting the money putting ANYTHING in it.

I agree you cant beat free, but personally i woulda flipped it and bought something else. I dont mind people running letter cams, I just hate to hear oh I was expecting this, this, and this..., and they dont realize they are using components that are 20+ yrs old. I think the F cam sounds nice, it just doesnt perform as well, as it counter parts.

unless you got the matching valve springs, locks and retainers with the f-cam, the deal is not completely free

And all the gaskets and new chain. The wrong cam isnt a bargain even when it's free

ur right all i have to pay for was the valve springs i got the gaskets for free from my buddy

I've done a x-cam swap in a buddys stock 5.0 motor, runs fine. I upgraded the springs with the trickflow spring kit they offer for the stock e7 heads...
