hey thanks for your help and fast reply. i appreciate it alot. This MF is a good tool. if anyone else wants to put their two cents in please do. The more ppl i have telling me how to do this the better. any tips from personal experience would be great. oh and do you think i need to get better lifters or stock style will work fine?

You have to use the same style lifers designed for the cam. If it's a flat tappet leave it alone. If you have Hyd rollers the factory lifters are nomally good for a long time. If you are doing a cam swap on a Hyd roller and you have a lot of miles new lifters are a good idea. I've seen the factory units go a long time

port got it right, make sure your on the base of the lobe and while slowly turning the nut rotate the pushrod with your fingers once you feel resistance your at zero lash. now just crank the nut another 1/2 turn but no more than 3/4turn and lock er down.
