A/C problem

A/C problem
A few days ago, my car was running a little bit hot, due to a coolant leak, while it was running hot i switched the heater on to keep it from going over 200, it started gettin hot inside so i switched it back to a/c for a few minutes, the a/c wont work. after a closer inspection the a/c works on normal, but only while the car is moving? max a/c does not work. im thinkin it could be a voltage issue, or possibly the selector switch/fan motor? any advice or similar problems with solutions would be much appreciated.

air flow needs to come across the condensor to cool the condensor down and lower pressures inside the a/c system, sounds like your clutch fan may not be working if the a/c works while driving but goes snafu in traffic or at a stand still.

is the fan motor blowing? on normal with the car moving youll get forced air thru the system. on max you recirculate air and dont use outside air if the fan isnt working it not gonna blow anything.
i had to replace the blower speed switch on my 91 it had gotten hot and burn itself out on a couple of the speed settings
