try changing your wheel bearings theyre arent that hard and if your wheels are wobbling its either bearings or bent axles

I am trying to fix the brutal shifter vibration first, which im pretty sure can't be the rear axles.

Alright today I took the drums off and the axle does in fact have some up and down play. There is no acceptable amount of play right?
I did also inspect my cross member and realized that the stock bolts seem thinner then the poly bushing. Does anyone know what the correct bolt size is?

I have a similiar issue, I have not fixed it yet, I think I did not reinstall the output shaft back in the position that I took it off when I put on new u-joints. Did you install the u-joints prior to vibration or was this in an effort to fix the vibration?

The lose tranny bolt could also be some of the cause.

The universals were in attempt to fix the vibration. The front seized so it helped a bit but still not the high speed problem. I thought the yoke only went in one way because of the flat spline spot. I purchased new bolts for the cross member and am going to get the tubes welded up as well.

With the rear axle bearings I am pretty sure they are done but how do I know if it is my axle or the bearing causing the rear wheels to wobble? Also when i took the drums off and moved the hub up and down the play seemed to be between the axle and bearing surface not within the bearing.

well if your carrier bearings are going you will notice gear noise the bearing should be tight on the axles no play what so ever also did you try and get driveshaft balanced after the new ujoints were installed because that could very well throw off the balance of the driveshaft causing vibes

I have not tried to balance the drive shaft because I don't know where to find a shop in my area. Also I am more concerned about the rear wheels wobbling down the road then the drive line vibration. I was able to see how bad the rear wheels were wobbling in my mirrors.
Does anyone know how I can find out if it is the bearings or the axles?

I want to bring this back and see if there was a fix...I have the same problem on my 05 V6 with mods below... 7.5 axle with 3.73s and t-loc with shaftmasters one piece Al drive shaft... high speed cab vibration during deceleration. I am sick of this....also the tans is a t-5 and there is some fluid on the trans cross member.
