Default Clutch grabs at the very top. Slips high gears.

Hello guys. I have a 1994 Mustang GT. This is a saga of clutch problems for me. So here it is.

So starting off in first gear it engages nearly at the top. Gears 2-5 I can't step on the gas pedal or else the clutch slips and the engines revs. The cable has slack of it which I thought would lower the engagement? The fork when the pedal is at rest (all the way up) is up against bellhousing wall.

I have a Ford Racing quadrant, the Ford Racing adjustable cable and no FWA. I am not sure what to do. I have tried tighten and loosening the cable with no luck. The clutch disc, pressure plate, flywheel, TOB, cable, and quadrant were all replaced maybe 10k miles ago by a certified mechanic (my brothers friend) and the cable seems to be routed properly from what I've read.

Here's some pics and a video to better illustrate.

Here's a video that shows how much slack there is at the fork.

That just made it grab even higher. From what I've read the more slack the lower it should grab. I tightened it up some and now it won't even go into a gear. Just always in "neutral".

Thanks for your response.

Is the pedal tight? Like no toe play? There should be a couple inches of toe play at the top of the pedal. That may be your problem.

There is no play in the pedal. The second I start pressing it there is pressure. How would I adjust that? That doesn't have anything to do with the tension of the clutch cable?

You need to add some slack in the cable. Loosen the adjusting nut on the cable.
