Default Best spark plug gap for 5.0?

I have an 86 5.0 gt and am about to get reasy to tune it up and was curious if there was a good or perfered spark plug gaping that helped performance or helped it run better at all?

I have a 93 and assuming it's the same, .054 inches.

about 52-54 is good
