limited slip

i traded for a limited slip supposed to come out of a mustang all i got was the chunck it,s got 11 and 41 stamped on it and 7 3/8 also stamped on it are they any way of telling what it is or what it came out of wondering ,thanks.

count the teeth on the ring and pinion and see if it is in fact 11 for the pinion and 41 for the ring gear, post a pic

its got 11 teeth on pinon and 41 on the ring gear but its got a gm stamped on the pinion and on the ring gear, and a 7 and 3 /8 on the ring gear figured it might have come out of something else

Most like;y it has a 7 5/8 on it.That would be a late model GM 7.5 axle or in your case 7 5/8.They interchange though but not with Ford stuff lol!
