Well, like I said, I dont claim to know much about this. And by bore, I mean whatever they do when you have your engine rebuilt to get any nicks or scratches out of the cylinder wall. Another idea I have been playing with is buying a new shortblock and building it over time. But while I do anything of the sort, I want more power than I have right now. As soon as my brother has some spare time, Im gonna enlist his help to grind the exhaust hump out of the exhaust ports, he's the mechanic in the family.

yes..remember an engine is like a big ole air pump the smoother and straighter the better. this is time comsuming and worth the effort.. you can buy a DSS assy for about 850.00 also look at www.x2cmotorsports.com

Oh yeah, Vfast, I meant to ask you about the hi-compression comment you made. I already put in hi-octane gas, so why wouldn't I want to throw in some hi-compression pistons? It all adds up, right? And at this point I am not looking to go unnaturally aspirated.

whats gonna go after you add horsepower to the top of the motor? the bottom. i wouldnt add that much horsepower to a motor that has more than 50,000 on it, i would build a motor and do a swap. d.s.s makes a good 306ci. motor for a good price. go with some brodix st5.0R heads. they are like 1200. i have em and love them. musclemustangsandfastfords dynoed them at 69 hp over stock in the ultamide guide to cylinder heads. the next thing is to call crane or isky and have them custom grind you a cam to your specifications, and future plans. u said supercharger, make sure you get low compression pistons because it rund better with a lower compression. choose the gt-40 intake because it is made better and it has a better transfer of heat that other aftermerket intakes, same with the cobra. if you want to upgrade later get the cobra because the lower intake is the gt-40 lower intake. then when you want to upgrade buy the gt-40 upper. depending on when you are getting a supercharger for it depends on the rest. smaller size throtle body like 70mm would be good w/o the supercharger and opposite with the supercharger. if you plan on running like 6-8 lbs of boost, go with 24lb injectors because the flow is just about maxed out. if anymore boost is desired get 30lb. and same thing with the fuel pump. 190 or 255 lb/hr intank. when you build the motor and want horsepower it still needs to be reinforced like a hardened oil pump driveshaft and a main stud girdle. have fun.
