Hey guys, i drive a 1989 mustang Lx 5.0. (fox Body). I am looking to replace my exhaust because my current BBk exhaust has holes rusted in the muffler and the pipes also and one of the pies broke off today from the muffler. I was browsing some other pages and was looking to see how much it was going to cost me to get some new exhaust and i found alot of brands from flowmasters to magnaflow.. etc. I was wondering what was the best soudning exhaust from the experience people have had and could u link me a page to where i could by the exhaust you prefer on your own foxbody. I mainly need the link to buy the exhaust. I have visited american muscle.com and found a couple mufflers but i need a little help. What do you guys think?

Edit: i would also not like to break the bank on this exhaust. so i would like to keep the package below 500 not counting installation.

what are you looking to do, just the after cat back? or headers, mid pipe and catback?

Take a look at the exhaust thread with all the sound clips. I've got a mac cat back and love the sound.

headers and back would be my goal but i am willing to go cats then back if i cant afford new cats.
depends on the price. i would like to spend around 500-575 for whatever i can get.
I dont want the stang to sound crazy and annoying just a nice rumble and roar when i stop on it would be nice.

i checked out the exhaust page and i found a couple i like- any1 know some good sites for buying exhaust.
also my 5.0 is foxbody and i was wondering will the standard exhaust for 1983-90 exhaust on american muscle fit my fox body style ? i am in the year range that it lists on the site and the site also says for lx or gt. and mione is an lx so will it fit?

In my experience, MAC's sound real good. They're a bit pricey though, so you wont be able to get the full system, but try out the mufflers and see if that changes your sound enough to satisfy you

And when you have your choice exhaust installed, post a video or soundclip!

thanks i will definately post up a video when i finish the exhaust. but my question would still be if anyone had the time to check out americanmuscle.com and check the mustang exhaust for a 1989 mustang and tell me which one of them would fit my fox body style?

nevermind i contacted the support line about the mustang exhaust and he confirmed that the exhausts that i was looking at would fix my car indeed. now i must decide which one i like the most.
