Default Oil Leak I cannot seem to fix!!!

While pulling out my stock T5 and putting in a TKO 600 i replaced the rear main seal. While down, also checked the valve cover bolts again, which gaskets are spanken new. Car does have a blower. I pulled the PCV valve out and put a 90 degree PVC elbow in the rubber grommet and ran a hose down the the ground for oil drainage. Problem is car still has a major oil leak. Got her in the garage today and put some light down by the PVC elbow and was able to see where the oil is running down the top of the bellhousing. Followed the oil up and found that the oil is sitting right above the bellhousing, on top of the lower intake, right below where the pcv valve pushes into. Before i put that grommet back in i siliconed it so that wouldnt be the problem and after rubbing finger around it that is dry.....??????? Any other ideas with what it may be or what i should do different with grommet and pvc elbow i made????

are you sure that it is leaking where there grommet is???, they make a leak dye for oil that with a uv light makes it easy to pinpoint leaks sources.

I didnt know about the dye, thanks. But Im pretty sure that its not around the grommet, i siliconed it before i put it back in. Could be wrong, ill have to pick up some of that dye you suggested.

clean down the area best you can with brake clean and shine back there with a mirror it could be a lower intake gasket seal that has blown out, meaning the cork strip that runs across the back of the block from head to head

Default oil leak

Did you check to see if the screen is under the PCV grommet? That can cause an oil leak also. Is the car breathing to the atmosphere through a filter on the oil fill tube?

No there is no screen under the grommet and yea there is a filter on the oil fill tube. I will have to check on the gasket for the lower intake. Prolly where its coming from. Thanks guys for your help.

Default oil

You need to get the screen without it you will have an oil blowby leak. Since you are venting out the pressure from the filter I would look at the rear intake seal. We never use a gasket on the front or rear intake. Black RTV only, a 1" bead let it stand for 15min or until it is not sticky to the touch before installing the intake.
