Default 87 5.0, couple of questions! help

Hey guys tomorow I am looking into getting into the 5.0. A man is selling me one for 3500 with about 140k on the dasH. I don't have too much time to research but from my understanding I was brought of up to know that these fox bodys were a beast. Now my question is this, the motor is the regular fuel injection motor (don't know too much about the stangs to know exactly what I've found, he is also throwing a carborator motor with it as well? he claims this is the motor that people put into the 5.0s to build.

Can anyone clear this up? is this true?

2. Building these cars, why are they so sought for? are they easy to make power? I'm so sorry I know a lot of you will say I need to search but I dont have time to do research, I drove it today, and it needs an alignment probably has some suspension problems because of how off the steering wheel is. air conditioner works, and it hs some nice deep dish rims. No flood damage or rust.

Help a guy out please educate me. Am I making a good move as far as going into the mustang performance world? Hows the aftermarket support?

Hows the paint and interior of the car? I don't know what the guy means by this is the motor 5.0 guys build, that doesn't make much sense. Most guys modify the stock engine until it goes, and just go with a stroker or a rebuild. The 5.0 is a great engine because it offers practically unlimited choices as far as aftermarket parts go, and bang for the buck it is tough to beat. It is one of very few cars that can be compared to muscle cars in the area regarding cost spend and power gained. Plus despite the bs fix or repair daily nonsense that chevy guys try to throw out there, they are pretty reliable cars. Their problems are few and far between and usually a cheap fix.

Whoa! Thanks for the reply ! I went to go see it again yesterday, the interior is super mint, it has some odds and ends on exterior but it's a beautiful blue, and silver two tone, I don't know too much about these beautiful cars? My race car is a 300 zx twin turbo. That's my baby, but since the 2nd build it's no longer going to be a street car with 800rwhp+ no spray practically stock block . Anyways the car doesn't leak any fluids but it was in a wreck but they fixed the body damage but the suspension is thrower off for sure and when u turn the wheel u hear a slight clicking sound. The guy said it's some kind of pp and it's about 150 bux which ain't **** compared to the expensives of my Z. Any more advice on it? Is there a way to run engine codes on this thing?
