Thumbs up

Ok, I placed a 2k resistor in the watertemp sensor plug and the low speed fan kicked on immediately. So it looks like my particular issue is with the ECM water temp sensor. Like I stated before it was replaced, not to say it could be a bad one also. I will purchase a new one and try it again. The only thing that I don't understand is that it will kick on the highspeed fan at upper temps, why not at low (unless it skips that range of resistance)? I would check it with a multimeter but it crapped out too. I will pick one up later and see what is going on with the sensor.

Joel5.0 thanks for the info. I will keep ya informed. Thanks ALL.

You have a problem with the grounds....... make sure block to firewall ground strap is OK and contact points are not corroded or paint not allowing a good contact. LUK

Joel5.0,

Need another recommendation from ya. I replace the the temp sensor (ECT) and still no low speed fan????? I checked both the one I replaced and the new one with a multimeter and both running in range compaired to the tech manual. I also checked for bad wire/plug contact. Just wondering if you had any other Ideas with your experience in this area. The 2K resistor fires the low speed fan right up.
