question about 351 heads

Question question about 351 heads

if i get a set of 351 windsor heads for my 306 to replace the junk e7's will i have any issues with my stock intake bolting to them?????

these are 1978 stock windsor heads and i will be getting a great deal on them, they have to be better than the e7's right?????

Unless they are D0OE heads, I'd pass and look for a set of GT40s if you can't afford aluminum. You won't gain anything because the late 70s heads suck too

Those 351 heads are probably worst. Small valves and huge combustion chambers. Junk.

Yeah, I'd look for some GT40's. There not the best but you will notice a difference.

I would consider your stock heads, DOOE, GT-40, heads all garbage now.


You can get a set of LIGHTWEIGHT, ALUMINUM HEADS, that make better numbers, takes weight away, are easy to install and cost is cheap.

dont run the D8's... they are definitly a worse head than what you have stock

not sure what your lookin to spend but i have a set of dooe's i'll let go for $100. ran good when pulled. here in GA
