Default weird smoke issue

Ok, i know this has been beaten to death and I have read many, many threads on this but cant find anything similar to this.
I am buying a 91 LX convertible 5.0 5 speed from my step sister. I drove the car about six years ago and it ran amazing. The car now has 39245 miles on it and has sat in her garage for the last four years. It had about a quarter tank of gas and four low tires and the battery was dead. I started with the battery and the car cranked right up. Kinda sputtered for a second and idled perfect. I babied it to the gas station and filled the tires and put $20 in gas. Drove about 30 min and parked it. Was going the next day for emissions test and registrstion so i went to start the car and it was smoking like crazy. Looks like white smike maybe a light gray. Car ran fine to work but smoked at idle and when i first accelerate. when i get to speed or at least above 1800 rpm it stops smoking. In the evening it smoked worse and ran bad. I changed the plugs and fuel filter tonight and drove to the station and filled up. No smoke for about 20 min and ran great. I checked several ttimes if it was smoking and i am positive there was no smoke. So i drive home (total trip was about 15 miles) and when i pulled in the driveway it was smoking like a train. I have not lost any coolant or oil in the three days this is going on and dont get why it quit when i changed the plugs and fuel filter. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yea i thought it was just cause of the old gas and thats why i changed the plugs and fuel filter. Smoke went away and ran great for about 10 to 15 miles after filled it up with fresh gas. When i picked it up it had about a quarter tank of old gas, i put $20 in mid grade and drove it about half an hour and parked it. The next morning it was smoking and i put some stabil and octane boost and drove to work and home. it sat for a day and i changed the plugs and filter and worked great for the 10 to 15 miles when i was almost empty and filled it with mid grade and drove home. it only started smoking again when i got to the house. Im thinking maybe the intake gasket cracked????? I will play with it today and see whati can find.

Or maybe i have injector issues? Two of the plugs were damp when i took them out. Couldnt bad injectors dump too much fuel and mae it smoke?

The intake gasket is what was wrong with mine. It smelled funny out the exhaust. I still haven't added any coolant to it and it never leaked out of the motor.

Also noticed where oil was getting through one of the intke ports too. Not all the time but, it was.

yes your injectors are suppose to pulse and they can stick wide open all the time but I don't think it sitting up will make them do that and besides flooded smoke is black kinda like a diesel

Sorry if i was a little harsh but I was getting very frustated and noone had any suggestions. It turns out the car sat for four years and the tank accumalated a ton of varnish. When the new fuel was put in i guess it broke up the varnish and turned the fuel dark brown. The gas was really disgusting. Anyway I guess the fuel was so poor it couldnt burn. Two new injectors a new plenum gasket and flushed the tank and im good to go.
