Default stock motor?? Will it run on 90mm mass air?

I just purchased SSI intake with 24lb injectors and Granatelli 90mm mass air calibrated for the injectors and 70mm Throttlebody. The only modifications I have done is installed full length BBK headers. I know the mass air is over kill, but my question is will my car run properly because I cant really afford a smaller mass air atm. I was thinking of buying some coupler reducers so it will connect to my cold air. My cold air has 90mm tube from fender mount to mass air, and 75mm tubing from mass air to throttle body. Should I put it all on or is it over kill? Is mass air too big? This is my first time on a mustang forum, i figured this would be the best place to get some advice. Thanks

Don't put the parts on until you get a decent H/C/I or forced induction? There are many variables in the intake system... the throttle is largely your limiting factor if you are still going to be using the stock intake manifold. The stock intake set up is actually capable of supporting motors that are built up. At wide open throttle, when your foot is on floor, you want the intake to be 100% open and taking in almost 100% of its capable flow rate... If you don't upgrade your engine, by this I mean it doesn't require more air than your stock throttle provides, putting a larger throttle on the car will give your engine 100% of the air it requires when the throttle is maybe 65-70% open. This does not provide power but restricts your control of the engine.

+1. With the parts you have now, your car will not run to its potential until you do a head and cam swap as well. The stock heads are a big choke point. You will not be able to take advantage of the improved breathing your new parts will provide. Think of the engine as having to be balanced. You have the intake and exhaust covered already, now just do the middle with heads and cam and your combo will run pretty decently. Also, to answer your question, the 90mm MAF can be used. As long as your throttle body is smaller, it will work.
