Car stalls when idle in drive

Car stalls when idle in drive
Hello all i have a strange problem. I have a 88 Mustang 5.0 and its a auto. Lately when im idle at a light and its in drive it will stall. Car idles fine in park can run all day in park and not stall but if in drive and stopped it will stall. Whats the problem?
