An overdrive alternator pulley will help a bunch, ASP makes a nice one. I have one on my stang and my f150 and it works great. I think I paid about 25 bucks each shipped for them. I did have to use a thin wall socket to install themit because of their small diameter. Well worth it in my opinion.

Can you explain, I don't think increasing the alternator RPM's a little bit is going to kill all of the power gains from the underdrives. My car and truck both gained power from underdrives but I am not running a big stereo system either. I was just posting my own real world experience, to each there own I guess lol.

Poor charging and poor cooling resulting from underdrives means your car had a poor charging and cooling system in the first place and needs repaired anyways. I've run underdrives including alternator for 2 years with no problems.
