My grandpa had an old 5.0 and on his way back from west va, someone fell asleep at the wheel and rear ended him, car flipped a couple times, he came out ok, he is 70. Long story short, car was totaled...engine was still good. My dad got the engine from the insurance company and he plans on putting it in his bronco(been 8 months now, still sitting). O yea, I already got this car ('00). Since I now have this car, I haven't got his feedback yet, but what would I need or is it possible to throw the 5.0 in the '00? What would be the cost and timeframe of the swap? Thanks for all the help.

K&N filter into stock airbox, suspension, remove air silencer, suspension, exhaust, suspension, gears....oh... and did i mention suspension?

suspension is fairly on the cheap side and just a bolt in deal for most suspension parts. can be done in a matter of hours with simple hand tools and you can change your look entirely and drop your ET's up to 2 full second on teh 1/4 when done properly. basically getting the fullest of out a stock motor without hanving to work the "bugs" out of modifying FI motors.
Where is the air silencer. I may already have it out but I just wanted to confirm the correct part.

Don't buy either of those cars. Be patient and look for a clean 5.0. I perfer the sn95 body style and better (but still not great) suspension. I was tempted to get rid of mine and get a 4v but I decided that these cars are much cheaper and easier to mod. You can buy a 5.0 for just a few thousand and with just 2-3k you can have youself a fun car. The 5.0 is one of the most popular motors there is so getting parts for these is easy and can always be obtained.

+1 on the waiting for a clean SN95 5.0. yeah, the computer's a little annoying to play with, but you already have 5 lug wheels, 4 wheel disc brakes, WAYYYYYYYY better steering, a worlds better interior, and (IMO) better looks. 4.6 = garbage. yeah its a nice motor to play with id you're (VERY) mechanically inclined (you ever degree a camshaft? i had to do it TWICE on my buddies 4.6 when we did his TFS head swap and put in new cams). also, there are so many different variations of the 4.6 that parts are very easy to confuse with one another (a cam sensor sprocket that 1/16 of an inch different, yet will strip out and destroy your engine...) not for me. 5.0 with a stroker kit, keep the rpms below 6500, nice heads, a good custom grind hyd or solid roller long tubes, OR X, your choice of catback, and a few other things and youre good to rock and roll.

Dude, I just wanna take a stick a dynamite to that car, cause that body kit is complete *** IMO. Doesn't look like too bad of deal other than that ugly *** body kit.

both those mustangs are some turds stock... but you will have alot more potential with the 5.0.. finding parts for it and upgrading the 5.0 engine is way more easier then the 4.6.. or you could always just put your money towards a f-body and be fast stock!! lol jk jk..

Yeah 95 was the last year for the 5.0, and why would you want to swap a 5.0 into a new edge? The sn95 was the best style for mustangs (IMO) and I think it would be a pain swaping in a 5.0 into a new edge.
