Default transmission problem

I put a new clutch in my 92 gt and it worked great for about two days. All of a sudden it hard to down shift to first and second and it doesn't want to go in reverse. It goes up thru the gears just fine.Anyone have any ideas what might be going on.Thanks ahead for all your help.

Talked to a friend he said I might need to adjust the cable at the tranny after I have drove it for a while. Also when I did the clutch replacement I changed the fluid.Put mercon auto trans fluid in it that what the owners manual said to put in it.

Same exact thing just happened to me. I put about 800-1000 miles on my new stage 2 clutch and it was solid for the first couple days then the pedal felt a little funny. Readjusted it today where the clutch cable and pedal assembly **** all connect and now it's fine again. My friend told me that all that plastic assembly under the dash where the clutch pedal is will need to be replaced soon or later due to age. I'm thinking sooner!
