Default newb question

ok guys first off im a newb so be easy on me. but i heard that if you pull the piston on and turn the piston 180 degrees it actually raises your stroke. i dont know how much or anything. then if you shave the head .020 then use the stock head gasket it raises your compression to 10:1 is all this true or is the guy blowing smoke up my a$$

false information

turning the piston around in the bore does NOTHING for the stroke. Infact, if it DID increase the stroke, it would either drmatically decrease your compression ratio, OR slap the piston face into the head

who ever told you that should be smacked in the face with a baby tuna fish!

gt-40P heads, and a new cam with a good intake would be a cheap place to start

the part about decking the heads will raise compression though

i like '93 cobra heads better than p heads. they are real gt 40's , just iron instead of aluminum and when you find them similar in price

p heads need specific headers, and have smaller valves

they are P's

96-97.5 had the regular 40's, and they have 3 bars cast into the end of them... the P's have 4 bars cast into them
